  • What is cold roll forming?

    Cold roll forming is a manufacturing process whereby solid metals (usually steel) are shaped. As its name suggests, cold roll forming involves producing shapes at room temperature or slightly above room temperature. Extremely accurate and complex shapes can be formed in a variety of lengths and a broad range of quantities.

  • What is the difference between cold roll forming and hot roll forming?

    As mentioned in our answer to Question 1, cold roll forming involves producing shapes at room temperature or just slightly above. In brief, hot rolled steel is steel which has been roll pressed with at very high temperatures.

  • What are the benefits of cold roll forming?

    There are several benefits for cold roll forming, one of which being the strength of the finished product. Cold rolled steel is up to 20% stronger than typical hot rolled steel. It is also the preferred manufacturing technique for furniture, cars and fencing due to its high quality, aesthetical finish.

  • What materials can be roll formed?

    There are a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals which can be roll formed. These include steel / stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper and lead.

  • Do you provide custom roll forming?

    Yes, we do provide custom roll forming. Hadley Group Technology will review your specific requirements before utilising our state-of-the-art equipment to tailor a bespoke solution to your exact needs.

  • Do you offer on-site visits?

    Yes, we offer on-site visits to all current and prospective customers. Once you have sent us your enquiry with all of your technical requirements, one of our technical experts will be in touch and an on-site visit can then be arranged.

  • Which countries do you trade in?

    We manufacture across four sites in UK and further sites in the Netherlands, Thailand, UAE and the USA, with a sales office in Germany.
