JOB DESCRIPTION
To manage the contractual and financial aspects of the construction projects that HadleyFRAME engage, ensuring
projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Working as part of a team to
deliver success for both HadleyFRAME and its clients, by offering cost-effective solutions in order to achieve the
target margins, whilst managing client expectations and developing relationships for repeat business.
THE ROLE
Pre-Construction Phrase
The planning stage aims to set the project up for commercial success through preparation and management of
the contract and finances, involving:
- Contract awareness; Identify the form of contract and be mindful of key terms and conditions in order to
comply with and enforce effectively whenever necessary. - Budgeting; Create detailed budgets, including itemised BoQ’s using production information and
undertaking take-offs to determine quantities. Provide and maintain reliable methods of project cost
control and assist with material procurement and sub-contract enquiries. - Tendering and Procurement; Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries for preliminary cost analysis and
review quotations upon receipt, following up with detailed BoQ’s and costings to formalise sub-contract
orders. Collaborate with the HadleyFRAME Buyer to prepare and issue material supply enquiries, evaluate
and negotiate prices to allow informed procurement decisions, reporting results to the team, managers
and senior stakeholders. - Compliance and Documentation; Establish new relationships, engage approved sub-contractors and
maintain databases to ensure compliance, i.e. PQQ’s, Insurances, Quotations and Contract documents. - Cash Flow Forecast; Generate a projection of project applications against construction programmes to
demonstrate revenue forecast and sub-contractor expenditure across the project pipeline. - Value Engineering & Risk Assessment; During project handover from the pre-construction team, identify
areas of potential cost savings and anticipate project issues, proposing mitigation methods and
contingency plans where possible.
Construction Phrase
During construction, projects are monitored and maintained through numerous key practices, to ensure the
project runs smoothly, on time, and within budget;
- Contract Management; Ensure proper and regular communication with contractors and sub-contractors
while keeping records of critical correspondence and advise on post contract matters, including
preparation and issue of contractual letters to clients and / or sub-contractors. Engage in post contract
liaison with clients and internal design team. - Budgeting & Reporting; Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle, maintain budgets and
CVR’s, identify and report risks to the team to develop strategies to mitigate. Provide written reports to
managers and senior stakeholders detailing budgets, costs, and forecasts. - Tender Management; Prepare and manage the tendering process, negotiate works packages and
prepare contracts for various Sub-contract trades. - Valuations and Payments; Conduct valuations of work completed on-site, prepare and submit interim
payment applications to clients and evaluate and agree sub-contractor applications. Certify payments
and issue all required paperwork in a timely manner to ensure compliance with contract legislation. - Site visits; Carry out regular visits to construction sites, maintain relationships with Sub-contractors and
Clients and undertake site measurements to assist with assessments of valuations. - Final Accounts: Prepare final accounts at the end of a project, ensuring all costs are accounted for and
agreed upon.

THE CANDIDATE
Education and Qualification(s)
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Quantity Surveying.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as PlanSwift, OST, Causeway, Coins, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, costs, and contracts
