JOB DESCRIPTION
Working to strict safety and quality requirements, to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements. Whilst optimising efficiency and maintaining operational excellence.
THE ROLE
- Develop, Champion and follow SOPs / JSA’s and RA and TPM. (Standard Operating Procedures, Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessments and Total Preventative Maintenance).
- Lead and Contribute to projects / initiatives e.g. Lean, Continuous Improvement etc.
- Capable of running all lines within Hadley Custom Rollform
- Direct, mentor, and train others (new and exisiting staff) to change rolls, operate mill equipment, and remove coils, band, load material and any other operations / procedures.
- Cover for Team Leader as required.
- Ensure oil is at right level, adjust valves, observe gauges to control flow of metal coolants and lubricants.
- Safe and efficient use of overhead crane for material handling purposes.
- Complete quality checks.
- Load, set and feed coil.
- Set production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set roll feed, if required within production base/division.
- Set leveller, if required within production base/division.
- Set distance points between rolls and strip guides, according to specifications.
- Control production processes to set tolerances.
- Install equipment such as guides, guards, gears, cooling equipment, and rolls, using hand tools.
- Manipulate controls, observe, monitor and adjust, to set speed for optimum machine performance.
- Achieve/exceed production targets.
- Ensure efficient setting of equipment to produce “fit for purpose” product.
- Ensure product is accurately made to drawing spec/customer requirements.
- Ensure finished goods are correctly stored.
- Set line speed for optimum performance.
- Safe and efficient removal of tooling and rolls during machine changeover, safe storage of rolls and tools in the correct area.
EXPERIENCE
Applicants must have previous experience working with cold rollforming production lines.
HOURS
15 hours per week. Applicants are required to be flexible on hours.
