JOB DESCRIPTION

To support sound commercial pricing decisions across the UK business and to facilitate smooth operation of pricing administration. The collation of manufacturing data, raw material costs, secondary operational costs and the preparation of this data ready for pricing cards and the monitoring there after.

Work to continually develop the costing and pricing systems to cover more regions of operation of Hadley Group moving the current excel based system to a database system that enables scenario planning for pricing.

THE ROLE
  • Respond quickly to inbound pricing enquires, liaising with the relevant team to support timely decisions.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all pricing queries and issues, liaise with the relevant internal departments to bring them to a swift conclusion
  • Provide support to the sales team with pricing models for key accounts and ‘Lines of Business’ using a Collaborative approach
  • Proactively update Quarterly price lists and price books where required as well as general pricing admin support
  • Manage and maintain the ‘pricing card’ sales tool for each line of business
  • Develop & improve margin reporting at the value add and gross margin level
  • Proactively identify low or decreasing margins by account or product and work with relevant parties to address the problem
  • Provide weekly / monthly Margin analysis reports as required by the business
  • Use ERP system / Qlik (sales dashboard) & Production summaries data to assist the pricing process where appropriate
  • Take a continual improvement approach to all elements of the role. Recommend solutions and implement when agreed
  • Provide our overseas businesses with pricing support when required (US / Netherlands / Dubai / Thailand)
  • Build strong relationships with decision makers across the business

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Qualification(s)

  • Educated to degree level in Finance or Business related discipline.
  • Five GCSE’s Including Maths & English

Experience

  • Finance background would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in a pricing or commercial role
