JOB DESCRIPTION
Work with the Procurement Director and Business Unit Directors to source raw materials (Metals) for the Hadley Group in line with sales forecasts from both the UK and Dutch sites.
Work with the Divisional Planning Teams to ensure that material is delivered to site in line with production schedules.
Support the Divisions, to ensure that appropriate material is available at competitive prices, whilst also driving continuous long-term improvements in Quality and Delivery performance.
Responsible for making sourcing and executing recommendations/approvals in accordance with the delegated authority policy and agreed category strategies.
Operates within the Procurement team to ensure supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently and track through reporting methodology.
THE ROLE
- Supplier Relationships: Co-ordinate designated supplier relationships and strategies in accordance with the Supplier Relationship policy.
- Cost Management: be responsible for the creation and/or deployment of Cost Models for designated categories and the development and delivery of the agreed financial commitments.
- Purchasing Tools: use ERP system or other systems in an optimal way, to maximise efficiency and minimise stock and cost. Contribute to improvement and share best practice across the Division and Procurement Function.
- Delivery and Quality: be accountable for leading continuous improvement of frameworks which drive supplier performance within assigned categories, including any associated quality audits (IATF/VDA).
- Processes and Policies: be accountable for ensuring adherence to the company’s processes and policies, maintaining purchasing systems to ensure associated KPI’s are met.
- Reporting: provide management reports and key performance data and monitor cost savings. Analyse data or insights to determine industry trends.
- safety and environmental policies and procedures, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors.
- Any other duties commensurate with job duties
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Various UK Locations + The Hadley site in Ede, Netherlands and associated Suppliers in Europe (predominately Germany)
Frequency
- Monthly visits to the Hadley site in the Netherlands and annual visits to European suppliers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education and Qualification(s)
- Professional Purchasing qualification and/or role appropriate degree
Experience
- Commercial experience with focus on procurement for a Manufacturing Business
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Has a track record of delivering savings against financial targets and projects on time against budget
