Team Leader

We currently have a fantastic opportunity within our Hadley Allied Products Division for a Team Leader!

Job Description

You will support the Supervisor in leading, developing and motivating the team to work safely and efficiently, to produce high-quality products, and ensure both company standards and customer requirements are met.

Roles and Responsibilites

• Capable to program, set and run Amada CNC press brakes and Amada CNC turret punch presses. • Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, and able to use all available measuring equipment. • Provide the team with direction, instruction, guidance and support for the purpose of achieving company goals. • Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards. • Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required. • Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, SOP’s, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company

    policies and procedures.

• Ensure full adherence to housekeeping standards at all times and be responsible for proper waste segregation and disposal. • Monitor and maintain all safety tools and equipment. • Ensure all records are completed appropriately. • Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated. • Provide product/ technical expertise to the team and act as a “super sub” to provide cover for absent employees. • Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company procedures. • Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems. • Communicate targets/information so that each employee is aware of expectations and deliverables. • Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained. • Consistently promote corporate standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and

    behaviours expected of them.

Experience

Ideally you will have: • Level 2 Leadership & Management qualification and/ or equivalent experience in a similar role. • Experience within a Sheet Metal Environment • Excellent knowledge of:

    - Health & Safety
    - Press Brake
    - Turret Press
    - ERP Systems
    - Power Presses

Core Competencies

• Excellent knowledge of Sheet Metal and Metal Forming Processes. • Experience with lean production concepts and tools. • Able to perform tasks of team members. • Excellent communication and planning skills. • Analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills. • Ability to train and mentor other colleagues, such as Apprentices. • Health & Safety and Environmental mindset.
